Offensive Security Consultant - Hybrid in Multiple UK Locations - Inside IR35 - 12 Month Contract

Overview

A large financial services organisation is looking for an Offensive Security Consultant to test the strength of its existing security. You'll be carrying out hands-on offensive testing and threat emulation to find weaknesses before real attackers do, with some exposure to AI security testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out penetration testing and ethical hacking across the estate
• Run red team and offensive security exercises
• Deliver threat emulation activity to test detection and response
• Support purple team work alongside defensive teams
• Assess and test AI related security risks
• Report findings clearly to stakeholders and advise on remediation

What We're Looking For

• Background in red teaming, offensive security testing, or threat emulation
• Open to Red Team Operators, Offensive Security Testers, Threat Emulation Specialists, AI Security Testers and Purple Team Practitioners
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
• Strong team player, comfortable working across cross functional and geographically dispersed teams
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity and accountability
• Adaptable and resilient, with a commitment to continuous improvement

Contract Details

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office (London, Bristol, Halifax, Edinburgh or Leeds)
Rate: £600 Inside IR35
Duration: 12 months
Start: 1st November 2026
