SCADA SME (Test QA) - Contract - Wokingham

Role: SCADA SME
Location: Wokingham, UK
Work Mode: Office Based (5 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £450 per day

We are looking for an experienced SCADA Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong Test Quality Assurance experience to support a major programme within the power network control systems domain. The successful candidate will work within Agile teams ensuring testing activities meet the required standards across the full test life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Test Quality Assurance activities within Agile SCADA workstreams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.

• Review and validate test scripts, test cases, and requirement mappings.

• Ensure test readiness including environments, data, and integrations.

• Review test evidence, results, and defect documentation.

• Support defect management and triage processes.

• Monitor and report test preparation and execution progress using JIRA/XRAY.

• Identify and manage testing risks and quality issues.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Test QA across the full test life cycle.

• Experience with SCADA or Power Network Control Systems.

• Knowledge of Telemetry systems, IEC101 protocols, alarm management, and network monitoring.

• Experience using JIRA/XRAY for test management and reporting.

• Familiarity with IEC 61850 or other power system standards.

• Experience with integration Middleware such as Oracle MFT or MuleSoft APIs.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience working within Agile and onshore/offshore delivery models.
