We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Cloud Developer to join on a contract basis, supporting a major UK client engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise-grade customer data solutions using Salesforce Data Cloud, with a focus on creating a unified, trusted Customer 360 view that drives analytics, AI, and activation use cases across the Salesforce ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) solutions to unify customer data across enterprise systems
- Build and manage data ingestion pipelines using Data Cloud connectors, APIs, and batch/streaming sources
- Configure identity resolution, data mappings, and transformation logic within Data Cloud
- Create and maintain Customer 360 profiles, calculated insights, and segments
- Integrate Data Cloud with Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience) and external platforms
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across all ingested datasets
- Optimise data models and pipelines for performance, scalability, and large data volumes
- Enable data activation use cases for analytics, AI, personalisation, and downstream applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve data ingestion, synchronisation, and identity-matching issues
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and analytics teams within an Agile delivery model
- Mentor the wider delivery team
What You Will Ideally Bring:
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) including data ingestion, modelling, and activation
- Strong knowledge of Customer 360 data models, identity resolution, and profile unification
- Experience building data pipelines using Data Cloud connectors, APIs, and batch/streaming integrations
- Proficiency in data mapping, transformation, and calculated insights within Salesforce Data Cloud
- Integration experience across Salesforce platforms including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
- Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture, APIs, and external system integrations
- Experience implementing data governance, data quality, security, and compliance controls
- Ability to optimise performance and scalability for high-volume, Real Time customer data
- Strong troubleshooting skills across data ingestion, synchronisation, and identity matching
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, collaborating with architects and business stakeholders
- Agentforce and Tableau skills are a bonus
