We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Consultant to join a global technology services organisation on a 12-month hybrid contract based in Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will work directly with CXO-level leaders to define and drive enterprise data strategy, sitting at the intersection of business, technology, and governance. This is a senior advisory role shaping how data is used to create value, improve decision-making, and prepare the organisation for AI at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner with CXOs to define a clear, actionable enterprise data strategy aligned to business priorities, translating strategic objectives into data capabilities, investment priorities, and multi-year roadmaps
  • Identify high-value data domains, use cases, and opportunities for monetisation or operational optimisation, establishing KPIs and value-tracking mechanisms to measure impact
  • Design and implement a scalable data operating model that clarifies roles across business units, IT, and the Chief Data Office, defining data ownership, stewardship, governance processes, and decision-making forums
  • Support the CDO in embedding data literacy, accountability, and a data-driven culture across the organisation
  • Assess the organisation's current data maturity and readiness for AI adoption, recommending tools, platforms, and architectures including cloud data warehouses/lakehouses, data governance and cataloguing tools, MDM, ML/AI platforms, and Real Time data streaming technologies
  • Advise on build-vs-buy decisions, vendor selection, and alignment with security, compliance, and responsible AI principles
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, communicating complex data concepts in clear business language and leading workshops, strategy sessions, and capability-building programmes

What You Will Ideally Bring:

  • 15-20 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience consulting with or advising CXO-level stakeholders on enterprise data strategy, governance, and operating model design
  • Deep understanding of modern data architectures and cloud platforms including AWS and GCP
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML life cycle, data engineering, and analytics capabilities
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at the most senior levels
  • Desirable: experience working within or alongside a Chief Data Office, familiarity with regulatory frameworks including GDPR and responsible AI, certifications in cloud, data governance or AI technologies, and experience in large-scale transformation programmes
