Role & What's in it for the applicant and why would they apply?:

This is a chance to join a large, mission-critical transport and logistics organisation where the network genuinely matters. The infrastructure supports nationwide operations and is treated as a strategic asset, not an afterthought.

This is not a reactive support role. You'll have influence, technical ownership, and the backing of a stable organisation that values long-term thinking, engineering quality, and work–life balance. Add in a final salary pension and flexible hybrid working, and this is a rare combination of technical depth and stability.

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex routing, switching, and WAN issues.

• Work closely with internal IT and business stakeholders to ensure performance and resilience.

• Confident troubleshooting WAN, LAN, and routing issues in complex environments.

• Hybrid working with 1–3 days per week onsite.

• Long-term stability with a well-established organisation.

• Opportunity to work on infrastructure that supports real-world, nationwide operations.
