  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Produce and maintain high-quality documentation (HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, migration and rollback plans)
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure structured and secure delivery
  • Ensure alignment with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS controls
  • Optimise solutions post-deployment (performance tuning, alert optimisation, capacity planning)
  • Integrate security tooling with SIEM/SOAR, ITSM, and automation platforms
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution design, customer engagement, and documentation (SoWs, RFIs)
  • Maintain relevant certifications and continue developing across emerging technologies

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies (e.g. NGFW, IDS/IPS, WAF, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM)
  • Deep understanding of networking and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, TLS, segmentation)
  • Proven experience delivering projects end-to-end, including migrations and cutovers
  • Experience integrating security tools with SIEM and ITSM platforms
  • Ability to design secure solutions aligned to risk and business requirements
  • Strong documentation capability (HLD/LLD and implementation plans)
  • Exposure to modern security domains such as SASE, Zero Trust, DLP, endpoint security, and privileged access
  • Familiarity with CLI, automation, or orchestration tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally

Desirable

  • Cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of application security (OWASP, API security)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Exposure to CI/CD security practices
