Solution Architect - 3 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Fully Remote

Contract Type: Initial 3 month contract (Inside IR35)
Rate: £500 per day Inside IR35
Location: Fully Remote
Active SC is mandatory

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Solution Architect - Disaster Recovery & Resilience to join on a 3-month remote contract. The role provides technically credible challenge, recovery design insight, and architectural assurance to determine whether existing and proposed recovery solutions are appropriate, feasible, and aligned to business requirements. Note: Active, transferable SC clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) outputs to understand application criticality, recovery objectives, and service interdependencies
  • Assess existing and proposed disaster recovery and cloud recovery designs, validating their suitability against business needs, RTO/RPO objectives, and recovery assumptions
  • Provide architectural challenge to ensure recovery approaches are technically sound, operationally realistic, and cost-effective, including analysis of severe loss scenarios such as total environment wipe
  • Work with business, technology, and operational stakeholders to understand application behaviour under failure and ensure recovery designs align to organisational priorities
  • Support development of a Minimum Viable Implementation (MVI) recovery capability, inputting into trade-off decisions between cost, complexity, risk, and recoverability

          What You Will Ideally Bring:

          • Strong solution architecture background across cloud and hybrid environments, with demonstrable experience designing disaster recovery and resilience solutions
          • Proven ability to interpret BIA outputs and translate them into technical recovery designs, including logical and conceptual architecture views with dependency and sequencing considerations
          • Experience producing technical feasibility assessments with clear statements on whether recovery designs can meet stated RTO/RPO objectives, including identification of constraints and risks
          • Ability to conduct cost and complexity trade-off analysis to support proportionate recovery investment decisions
          • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to challenge constructively across application support, infrastructure, and business teams - SC clearance required (active and transferable)
