Tablet Support Engineer - 4 month initial contract - Inside IR35 - Norwich Area
Overview
We're looking for a Tablet Support Engineer to support a large tablet device management and distribution programme. You'll look after the day to day deployment, management and support of tablet devices across the organisation, from enrolment and setup through to handover, user support and asset tracking. SC Clearance is required, or the ability to obtain and maintain it.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support tablet devices through Microsoft Intune, including enrolment, configuration, compliance monitoring and policy deployment
- Receive, stage, configure and validate tablets before allocating and handing them over to users
- Carry out post build and post enrolment checks covering authentication, connectivity, application access and compliance
- Provide first line support for tablet incidents, service requests and user queries, including floor walking and hypercare during deployment
- Maintain accurate asset records and chain of custody documentation in the CMDB
- Manage tablet stock and inventory, including secure storage, stock audits and reconciliation
- Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software and configuration issues, escalating complex cases to Intune administrators or engineering teams
What We're Looking For
- Hands on experience managing mobile devices in Microsoft Intune (essential)
- Current SC Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain it (essential)
- Experience setting up, deploying and supporting devices
- Some asset management or stock control experience
- Good first line support and customer service skills
- Nice to have: Microsoft 365 and Entra ID knowledge, ITIL familiarity

Location: Leiston, near Norwich (5 days on site)
Rate: Negotiable, Inside IR35
