We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead specializing in Azure cloud platforms and event-driven architecture to lead the design and delivery of modern, scalable systems. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about cloud-native development, microservices, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of microservices and event-driven systems.
  • Define and enforce architecture standards and best practices for Azure-based solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud deployments.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable deliverables.

What You Will Ideally Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Azure services, including:Event Hub, Service Bus, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS),Azure Functions
  • Proven experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
  • Day Rate: Up to £575-600 per day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: - Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) - Luton
  • Start Date: ASAP
