Technical Product Owner - Data Platform - £425 per day - Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap and delivery of a large scale cloud data platform, with Databricks at its core. This is a fully onsite role based in Reading, working within a fast paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, roadmap and backlog for the data platform.
• Lead Agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement and stakeholder reviews.
• Act as the primary connection between business teams and technical engineers.
• Translate business needs into clear, detailed technical requirements and user stories.
• Drive automation, standardisation and best practices across the data life cycle.
• Champion modern engineering principles including CI/CD, DevOps and FinOps.
• Support the adoption of advanced data technologies including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.

Required Experience

• Proven background as a Technical Product Owner within IT or data-focused programmes.
• Strong technical knowledge of data platforms, cloud architecture and governance.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and scalable data solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical ability with experience producing high quality technical documentation.
• Proactive, organised and comfortable driving delivery in a complex environment.

• Location: Reading (5 days on site mandatory)
• Rate: £425 per day
• Contract: 6 months
