About the Role

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency the companies trading platforms. This is not your average DevOps role - this position focuses on reliability, where you'll be troubleshooting, supporting traders, and interacting with multiple teams to ensure systems stay resilient and fast.

Responsibilities
:

• Support traders and trading applications, providing real-time troubleshooting to keep systems running at peak performance.
• Collaborate with traders, developers, and other key stakeholders to address system challenges, from low-latency issues to new system rollouts.
• Plan and execute exchange migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions in this critical environment.
• Build, release, and support new trading systems, continuously improving the infrastructure.
• Drive automation and operational excellence by leveraging Linux expertise, Kubernetes, and Python scripting skills.
• Monitor and ensure high availability and reliability of trading applications while being on top of system alerts and incidents.

Qualifications
:

• 3+ years' experience in a fast paced Systems Engineering/SRE or Infrastructure role
• The right candidate will come from a financial services background, ideally supporting a trading environment
• Solid experience with Linux Systems administration and applications
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficient in Python
• A mindset focused on reliability and performance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay range and compensation package
:

Up to £90,000 base salary
