Sales Order Administrator
We’re recruiting for a Sales Order Administrator to join a well-established and successful business based in the Northwich area.
This is a varied, customer-focused role that would suit someone who enjoys being busy, taking ownership of their work and dealing with customers. You’ll be responsible for managing customer orders from initial receipt right through to dispatch and invoicing, working closely with sales, warehouse and logistics colleagues along the way.
It’s a great opportunity for an experienced administrator or customer service professional looking for a role with plenty of variety and responsibility.
What you'll be doing
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Managing orders from receipt through to dispatch and invoicing
- Keeping customers updated on stock availability, lead times and deliveries
- Liaising with internal sales, warehouse and dispatch teams
- Responding to customer queries and resolving order-related issues
- Maintaining accurate customer and order information
- Investigating discrepancies relating to orders, stock or documentation
- Building strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
- Preparing customer and shipping documentation where required
- Supporting international orders and shipments when needed
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have previous experience within sales administration, order processing, customer service or sales support.
You'll also need:
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office
- The ability to juggle several priorities in a busy environment
- A proactive approach to solving problems
- A professional and genuinely customer-focused manner
Experience using SAP or another ERP system would be useful but isn't essential.
Previous exposure to export administration, freight forwarding, international shipping documentation or Letters of Credit would also be advantageous, but we're equally interested in strong administrators who are keen to learn.
The opportunity
You'll be joining an established business with a collaborative team and a role where you'll have genuine ownership of the customer order process.
If you're an organised, reliable administrator who enjoys customer contact and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
