Risk & Assurance ManagerPermanent, Full Time£55,000Remote (occasional travel to West Yorkshire)We are currently working on behalf of a public sector client to recruit to a Risk & Assurance Manager on a permanent basis.The main responsibilities will be to lead their risk and assurance work and ensuring they remain compliant. You will be owning their risk and controls framework, data protection, business continuity processes and internal audits.The role will have direct management of one Lead Risk OfficerResponsibilities of the Risk & Assurance Manager:Leading and managing the organisations risk and assurance functionsEnsuring compliance with all relevant legal, statutory and regulatory data requirements such as data protection and GDPROwning the risk and controls framework, ensuring it supports strategic decision making and provides assurance for board and regulatory oversightProducing annual performance reports for senior management and boardEnsuring the board is kept up to date of changes and developments in regulationLeading the planning of the annual internal audit programme and to oversee its deliveryActing as the lead contact for whistleblowing, ensuring all cases are investigated and managed appropriatelyLeading, developing and managing the risk and assurance team, setting clear priorities and objectivesRequirements of the Risk & Assurance Manager:Strong experience across business risk and assuranceWorking knowledge of risk management and compliance within a complex and regulated businessTo be considered for this exciting role, please contact Bethan Hall - Director at Hamilton Woods on 01509 276158 or apply online with a covering note of your experience and suitability referencing the job ID number.
