Senior D365 & Power Platform Consultant

A well established MS partner and consultancy are seeking both Senior Technical & Functional Consultants to join them on a 3 month contract period. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting customers across their digital transformation journey.

Majority of the role is fully remote working, however may involve some client travel every now and again.

Responsibilities:

-Functional:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement to elicit requirements, analyse business processes, and develop solution roadmaps aligned to organisational strategy
  • Provide functional leadership across the design, architecture, and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable, and pragmatic solution designs
  • Facilitate workshops, solution demonstrations, and user acceptance testing to drive successful adoption
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams from initiation through to implementation, ensuring effective communication and governance
  • Mentor consultants and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery standards and methodologies
  • Ensure solutions fully leverage the broader Microsoft ecosystem to maximise business value

-Technical:

  • Lead the design and development of technical solutions using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to meet customer requirements
  • Develop custom components such as plugins, workflows, and JavaScript/UI extensions as needed
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, prioritising standard product capabilities and advising when customisation or extension is necessary
  • Collaborate with Functional Consultants to translate functional requirements into technical specifications for build
  • Lead integration design and development across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Dataverse and Azure services
  • Provide technical governance through code reviews and quality assurance of development deliverables
  • Support deployment processes, ALM, and DevOps practices to ensure smooth production releases
  • Serve as a technical escalation point, proactively resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards, patterns, tools, and automation practices

Skills & Experience:

-Functional:

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing delivery roles within a Microsoft Partner organisation
  • 3–5 years hands-on experience delivering Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions (including Dataverse and Azure integrations)
  • Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing
  • Strong stakeholder engagement background including requirements definition, high-level solution design and functional architecture
  • Ability to assess requirements vs. standard product capabilities and recommend optimal configuration/extension approaches.

-Technical:

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing delivery roles within a Microsoft Partner organisation preferred
  • Proven hands-on experience developing Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions including model-driven and canvas apps, Dataverse, and integrations
  • Strong knowledge of the broader Microsoft stack including Azure services such as Azure Data Factory
  • Experience engaging directly with stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a customer-facing delivery environment
  • Ability to assess requirements against standard platform capabilities and design sustainable extensibility.
