Senior Data & Analytics Consultant

A well established consultancy and MS partner are seeking an experienced Senior Data & Analytics Consultant to join their team. You'll play a key role in helping customers turn their data into meaningful insights, as well as designing and delivering robust data and analytics solutions that strengthen data foundations, enable AI initiatives, and overall support better decision making.

Whilst this opportunity is remote working for the most part, this operates on the basis / has the involvement of occasional travel to the office for team meetings / team building exercises, in addition to client travel.

Role Overview:

Lead the design and delivery of customer data solutions across Azure, Power BI, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365. Drive data strategy, governance, and scalable architectures to support analytics, reporting, AI, and operational insights. Build ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and lakes, streamline processes with Microsoft Power Platform, and provide actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders, lead technical engagements, and mentor teams to promote a data-driven culture.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Over 5 years of solid experience in data analytics, engineering, or business intelligence within consultancy or technology services environments
  • Proven expertise in data modelling, data warehousing, and relational database design
  • Skilled in designing and delivering cloud-based data solutions, particularly on Microsoft Azure
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes and integrating data across multiple systems
  • Experience connecting Microsoft technologies (e.g., Dynamics 365, Azure Data Services, Power BI) with third-party platforms
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and one or more data programming languages
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse data structures and integration patterns
  • Track record of delivering complex data projects in client environments
  • Experienced in collaborating across teams to implement data-driven solutions

Technical Ability:

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and Azure Data Services
  • Hands-on experience with data integration tools, APIs, and middleware solutions
  • Solid knowledge of ETL processes and tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalents
  • Experience working with data warehouses, data lakes, and modern data architectures
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics and machine learning principles
  • Practical experience using Microsoft Power Platform for automation and workflow optimisation
  • Good understanding of statistical analysis, reporting, and data visualisation methods
