Interim Senior Web App Developer
Handle are currently working with a global entertainment brand who are looking for an Interim Senior Web App Developer to join their busy team! The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure web applications while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver seamless cross-platform solutions and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include -
- Build and maintain complex web applications using ASP.NET MVC 5, C#, and React, applying strong problem-solving skills to improve performance and quality
- Contribute to front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React
- Manage source control, branching, and deployments using GitLab or Azure Pipelines
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers on technical best practices
- Support technology migrations with clean architecture, scalable design, and smooth implementation
- Deliver secure, scalable, high-quality code aligned with architecture and sprint goals
- Continuously explore new technologies to improve platform and team capability
- Participate in architectural decisions to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability
Candidate requirements -
- 8+ years' experience in digital development, with a strong portfolio in bespoke eCommerce and enterprise web applications
- Experienced in RESTful APIs, with knowledge of SOAP, XML, and XPath
- Expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, SQL Server, and Entity Framework; experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React
- Strong grounding in OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Proficient with Git, GitFlow, SourceTree, and NuGet
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Cake, Octopus)
- Familiar with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira
