Junior SQL Server DBA

A London Insurer are looking for a DBA to support and maintain the organisation's data infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, integrity, and security of all database and reporting systems.

Role will be responsible for

• Database Management - Manage and maintain organisational databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
• Database Security - Monitor and maintain database access, permissions, and security controls.
• Backup & Recovery - Ensure database backups are functioning correctly and perform ad hoc backups and restores as required.
• Database Deployments - Support database releases, including running deployment scripts and contributing to continuous improvement of deployment processes

Required Competencies

• Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience maintaining online reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for task automation and system management.
• Excellent Transact-SQL (T-SQL) skills.
