Harmonic are partnered with a high-growth, PE-backed SaaS business to appoint Financial Controller into their London-based team.
The company has developed a mission-critical platform used by organisations globally to deliver high-quality decision-making in complex, operational environments. With a strong international footprint and backing from a leading global PE fund, the business has scaled rapidly to a global customer base and continues to expand its product offering and geographic reach.
As the company enters its next phase of growth, including expansion into new markets and product lines, this hire will play a key role in strengthening the finance function and building scalable processes to support continued international growth. The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will take ownership of global financial operations, leading the accounting, tax, and compliance functions across multiple jurisdictions.
This is a broad, hands-on role combining technical accounting expertise with operational leadership and project delivery. You'll play a central role in ensuring robust financial control, supporting international expansion, and driving improvements across systems and processes in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee global financial operations, including the record-to-report process across multiple entities and jurisdictions * Lead and develop the finance team, driving accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement * Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting * Own group and international audits, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors * Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) and regulatory requirements * Take ownership of global tax processes, including indirect taxes and transfer pricing * Strengthen financial controls, policies, and processes to support a scaling international business * Support the integration of new entities, product lines, and international operations * Partner with senior stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters * Drive finance transformation initiatives, including systems improvements and reporting enhancements * Prepare and review key internal and external financial reports
Requirements
- Fully qualified (ACA, CA(SA) or equivalent) * Background in Big 4 or similar training environment * Proven experience in a financial control or finance operations role within a multi-entity business * Hands-on approach with the ability to balance delivery and team leadership * Systems-savvy with a track record of driving process and reporting improvements * Ambitious, curious, and motivated to contribute to a high-growth environment
