Interim Financial Controller SaaS Scale-Up

Interim Financial Controller | SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with a Venture Capital backed SaaS Scale-Up to find them an Interim Financial Controller on an initial 6-month interim contract, with potential to transfer to permanent. This role will sit Outside IR35 and is remote based primarily, however it will be beneficial if the candidate can travel to London once per week.

Our client has developed breakthrough technology which is utilised by world leading institution. Invested in by a reputable Venture Capital firm, they have expanded internationally, primarily into Europe over the last few years. In terms of culture, they are mission-driven and that feeds through to a high performance working environment.

The Role

This role reports directly into the CFO, you'll be working closely to review the controls and financial accounting processes internally. They're therefore looking for a strong Financial Controller with a great track record of building and improving processes around month-end. There will also be additional ad-hoc projects supporting the CFO.

This is a broad role, providing great exposure to a broad range of finance, with the opportunity to lead on transformation and process improvement projects.

Duties

• Take lead and ownership of accounting, audit, regulatory compliance and payroll processes.
• Work closely with the CFO to upskill the broader finance team.
• Suggest and implement improvements to financial control and accounting processes, especially around month-end.
• Investigate, suggest and support the improvement of a prior NetSuite implementation.
• Make continuous improvements to financial systems.
• Ad-hoc projects supporting the CFO, covering a range of process improvements and implementations.

Essential Skills

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Previous experience in a fast growth scale-up business in SaaS.
• Experience developing Financial Controls and process improvements.
• NetSuite Experience

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £450-600

Length of Contract: 6 Months
