This is a standout opportunity for an Analytics Engineer to join a globally recognised design-led organisation at a pivotal point in its data journey. You will play a key role in shaping the foundations of a growing data function, with strong end to end ownership across pipelines, modelling, and stakeholder engagement.

Data is becoming increasingly central to how they support decision-making, operations, and future innovation.
The Role
You will join an early-stage data function within a broader technology group focused on internal systems, tooling, and research and development. As one of the first dedicated data hires, you will have real influence over standards, ways of working, and the evolution of the data platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Integrating data from core business systems via APIs, including finance and HR platforms
- Developing and improving a lakehouse architecture, with clear ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Creating robust data models to support analytics and reporting, following best-practice approaches such as Kimball and star schemas
- Supporting and enhancing the Power BI semantic layer and reporting outputs
- Working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
- Ensuring data quality, reliability, and documentation across the platform
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience working in a cloud-based data environment, ideally Azure
- Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with data transformation and modelling
- Experience using Power BI, including semantic models, DAX, and the reporting layer
- Exposure to Databricks, particularly for data transformation and connecting multiple data sources
- Familiarity with concepts such as medallion architecture, star schemas, and analytics engineering best practice
- Confidence working with non-technical stakeholders and translating requirements into data models
