THE ROLE

As an Analytics Engineer you will be a core member of the analytics engineering function, responsible for building and maintaining high-quality, production-ready dbt models.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Developing dbt models aligned to best practice and team standards.
  • Apply strong governance on what is released into the production environment.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data needs.
  • Contribute to the development of medallion architecture and wider data modelling strategy.
  • Support the onboarding of a new Databricks environment and enable future ML initiatives.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Analytics Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong commercial experience using dbt in a production setting.
  • Proven SQL expertise and ability to deliver high-quality transformation logic.
  • Experience with analytics engineering, data engineering, or a hybrid analytics role.
  • Sound understanding of data modelling principles and modern cloud data stacks.
  • Experience working with digital, online, or web-based products.
  • Familiarity with Databricks is beneficial but not essential.
