The Role As an Applied AI Engineer, you will sit within the Data Science function, partnering closely with operational stakeholders across the business. The focus of the role is to design and deliver an end to end automated reporting and calculation platform, reducing manual effort across complex financial processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the design and build of a scalable automation platform covering data ingestion, validation and reporting.
- Automating complex financial calculations including NAV and LAV across multiple data sources and formats.
- Designing robust data workflows and SQL based data structures to support auditability and accuracy.
- Integrating third party systems and data feeds via APIs.
- Building a long term, maintainable system with the potential for future AI driven enhancements.
Your Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong commercial experience building production grade automation or data engineering systems.
- Advanced Python and SQL capability.
- Experience designing data pipelines, workflows and scalable back end architectures.
- Exposure to financial services environments and complex financial data.
- Experience integrating APIs and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Front end or internal tooling experience using technologies such as TypeScript, React or Next.js.
