BI Engineer

Data Engineer - 2 days a week in Leicester - 12 Month FTC We're looking for a commercially-minded Data Engineer to join a team focused on enabling product sales through major third-party platforms. This team supports the integration and performance of high-growth marketplaces, and data is at the heart of their success.

You'll work across large, varied datasets to drive insights, improve data quality, and support seamless onboarding of new partners. Your work will directly contribute to optimising product availability, enhancing sales visibility, and enabling new platform launches.Key Responsibilities

• Own and understand key product and sales data sets used by third-party partners
• Support creation of dashboards and data tools to communicate partner performance
• Solve data-related issues that affect product visibility
• Build reports and visualisations to support wider business decision-making
• Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to align data needs and solutions
• Evaluate and apply new technologies and techniques to improve workflows

About You

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving problems using data
• Commercial awareness - able to identify what data truly matters to the business
• Confident working independently and prioritising effectively
• Collaborative and proactive in building relationships across teams
• Curious about emerging technologies, particularly in AI and data automation
• Experience with SQL and/or Azure data tools (e.g. Databricks, Data Lake) is preferred
