You'll play a key role in shaping reporting capability, enhancing self-service analytics, and delivering impactful insights that influence decision-making across the business.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The BI Lead will:
- Develop, optimise, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Enhance existing reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities
- Work with semantic layers and data models to ensure reporting accuracy and performance
- Write and maintain SQL and DAX to support reporting requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
- Support dashboard governance, documentation, and reporting best practices
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business stakeholders on key reporting initiatives
- Contribute to agile delivery processes, sprint planning, and continuous improvement
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI-enabled analytics tools within reporting workflows
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong commercial experience with Power BI development, including both front-end visualisation and back-end modelling
- Excellent SQL skills for querying, transforming, and structuring data
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles, including concepts such as star schema, Kimball methodology, and semantic modelling
- Experience developing and maintaining DAX measures and calculations
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience working within agile environments and managing prioritised workloads
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Any experience with CI/CD is desirable
