This role stands out for its balance of hands on delivery and real business impact. You will play a key role in shaping trusted analytics products, influencing decision making across the organisation, and helping to build a scalable modern BI environment centred on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

The Role

  • Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models used across the business
  • Develop trusted KPIs and DAX measures aligned to consistent business definitions
  • Own elements of the BI lifecycle from data preparation through to adoption
  • Design and maintain scalable data models to support self service analytics
  • Monitor and optimise model and dataset performance
  • Implement secure reporting solutions including role based access
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytics solutions
  • Analyse data to identify trends and communicate insights clearly
  • Collaborate with data and engineering teams to align with platform and governance standards

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial experience delivering production ready Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Advanced DAX and strong data visualisation capability
  • Strong SQL skills for data preparation and analysis
  • Experience with data modelling and ETL or ELT processes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or modern cloud data platforms
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non technical stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to improving standards, documentation and ways of working
