Customer Analytics Manager

£60,000-£70,000

London (Hybrid - 3x Days a Week in Office)

12-Month FTC

The Company

A leading British fashion retailer with a strong high-street and online presence, serving millions of customers across the UK is seeking a Customer Analytics Manager to join on an initial 12-month contract! The business has made significant progress in how it uses customer data, moving towards a much more customer-led approach to decision-making across the organisation. This is an opportunity to join a growing analytics function at an exciting point in its development, helping the wider business better understand its customers and use data to drive commercial decisions.

The Role

As the Customer Analytics Manager, you will sit within the wider Customer Analytics function, working across customer behaviour, lifecycle, segmentation, retention, loyalty and profitability. This is a hands-on analytical role where you'll own the customer analytics agenda, delivering insight that helps the business understand what its customers are doing, why they're doing it and what this means commercially. You'll lead customer reporting and deep-dive analysis, turning complex datasets into clear stories and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

You'll also work across areas including:

  • Customer lifecycle and health
  • Customer segmentation and profiling
  • Retention and loyalty
  • Customer profitability and lifetime value
  • Customer behaviour and trends
  • Campaign and promotional effectiveness
  • Advanced analytics and modelling
  • Customer reporting and KPI development

You'll be expected to go beyond simply producing analysis, building compelling customer narratives and helping stakeholders understand how customer behaviour connects to sales, retention and wider commercial performance. The role also has a small leadership element, with responsibility for managing 1-2 analysts. Previous formal line management experience isn't essential, however experience mentoring or developing more junior analysts would be valuable.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in customer analytics, customer insight or a closely related analytical discipline
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Strong data visualisation and storytelling capabilities
  • Experience working with customer behaviour, segmentation, retention, loyalty, CLV or profitability
  • Comfortable applying advanced analytical techniques such as clustering, regression and predictive modelling
  • Experience with techniques such as k-means, random forest or linear regression would be beneficial
  • Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in retail would be advantageous, but isn't essential
  • Previous line management experience is beneficial, but we are also open to Lead Analysts or Senior Analysts who have mentored or developed others

The Benefits

  • £60,000-£70,000
