Data Analyst

Location: Leicester - 2 days per week onsite (First 2 weeks require 5 days onsite) Contract Length: 3 months IR35: TBC (likely Outside IR35)Day Rate: £350-£450 per day Start Date: mid/late January

Overview

The team supports finance and operational reporting across areas such as cash, accounting, product launches, and stock and warehousing investigations. This is a fast-paced environment with multiple small workstreams rather than a single large programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Power BI reporting and data models to support finance and operational insight

  • Build and maintain data models, both from scratch and from existing structured tables

  • Create clear, functional dashboards and visualisations (clarity over complexity)

  • Analyse performance of new product or payment launches (e.g. Apple Pay adoption)

  • Support investigations across stock, warehousing and finance operations

  • Work closely with stakeholders at multiple levels to gather requirements and iterate quickly

  • Operate across a mix of short, ad-hoc projects in a high-change environment

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong SQL and Power BI experience

  • Solid understanding of data modelling

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused BI environment

  • Comfortable engaging stakeholders to clarify requirements

Nice to have:

  • Python / Databricks

  • Retail or consumer-facing experience
