THE ROLE

This role sits at the heart of market intelligence, providing analytical insight into how pricing, competition, and consumer behaviour influence performance.

You'll combine data from multiple sources to uncover trends, evaluate competitor activity, and help shape commercial decisions across pricing, promotions, and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Using SQL (BigQuery) to query large datasets, integrating both internal and third-party data sources.
  • Producing story-led insights that translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Supporting Proof of Concept (POC) analytical projects - testing, validating, and scaling new data approaches or models.
  • Evaluating competitor promotions and market events (e.g. "How did a new campaign at X company affect our share?").
  • Contributing to monthly market reporting, summarising pricing dynamics, competitor moves, and wider market shifts.
  • Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure insights drive tangible commercial and strategic outcomes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience in data analytics or commercial insights, ideally within tech, e-commerce, food delivery, or retail.
  • Strong SQL skills (experience with BigQuery preferred).
  • Skilled in data storytelling - able to translate numbers into clear commercial narratives.
  • Strong curiosity about market trends, competitor behaviour, and consumer dynamics.
  • Confident juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Based in or near London (preferred) for market familiarity and access to local competitor intelligence.

WHY APPLY?

  • Shape strategic market insights for one of the UK's most recognised digital brands.
  • Work on diverse analytical projects with real commercial impact.
  • Collaborate with an experienced, data-led analytics team that values curiosity and innovation.
