This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Data Analyst with a strong finance background to join a growing, data-driven organisation. Sitting within a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in improving reporting, strengthening data quality, and supporting business decision-making through financial and operational insights.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Dtaa Analyst will:

  • Own and develop finance reporting and management information.
  • Support quarterly forecasting processes and maintaining financial models covering forecasts, business plans, and cash flow.
  • Reconcile data across Xero, SQL, and Power BI environments.
  • Manage and uploading finance and operational data.
  • Produce board-level reporting on cash performance, operational metrics, and key business KPIs.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, variances, and performance against expectations.
  • Build new reports and enhancing existing reporting processes.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with finance, technology, and data stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong accounting or finance background with experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Practical experience using SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data validation.
  • Ability to interpret financial and operational data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
