Data Analyst
Location: Hybrid - Manchester (2/3 days onsite) IR35: Inside IR35 Rate: £450-£500 per day Start: ASAP
Overview
The business is investing heavily in its data capabilities, particularly across claims and pricing, with a focus on improving customer journey insights and building more robust data foundations.
You'll be joining a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy, working closely with a small team of analysts to enhance reporting, identify gaps, and improve how data is structured and used across the business.
Role Focus
* Support key initiatives across claims and pricing * Improve data structures and pipelines to enable better downstream reporting and insights * Analyse existing reports, identify gaps, and help enhance the reporting layer * Work closely with analysts and wider data teams to deliver high-quality outputs * Contribute to building a best-in-class pricing and performance data ecosystem * Operate in a fast-paced environment with strong ownership and autonomy
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and improve existing reporting (primarily Power BI) * Work across the full BI lifecycle - data prep, ETL, and visualisation * Identify data gaps and opportunities to enhance insight delivery * Collaborate with analysts and technical teams to improve data pipelines * Ensure data is structured and prepared effectively for reporting use cases * Deliver clear, actionable insights to support business performance
Experience Required
* Strong experience in Power BI, SQL and Databricks * End-to-end BI experience (data preparation, ETL, visualisation) * Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery * Strong understanding of data processes and business context and value add * Proactive and collaborative approach when working with teams
Desirable
* Python for data manipulation * Experience in Insurance (preferred) or Financial Services
