London (Hybrid)This is a great opportunity to join a real estate organisation where you can take ownership of a brand-new data governance function and lead the rollout of a new enterprise data catalogue platform. The role has strong visibility across the business and offers significant scope to shape how data is managed, governed, and adopted internationally. THE COMPANY: Our client is a leading real estate and property services organisation with a substantial international data and insights function supporting teams across multiple regions. Working within a growing Data & Technology team, you'll be part of a business investing heavily in its data capabilities and governance strategy. The organisation is establishing a more mature approach to data governance, catalogue management, and data quality, creating an opportunity for someone to make a genuine impact from day one.THE ROLE: You will take ownership of the implementation and adoption of a new data catalogue platform across the organisation. Acting as the key point of contact for data governance, you will work with teams across the business to improve data quality, accountability, and discoverability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the rollout and ongoing management of a new data catalogue platform across the business.
  • Driving user adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, communication, and support.
  • Developing and embedding data governance policies, standards, and stewardship models.
  • Establishing data quality frameworks, monitoring processes, and quality scoring methodologies.
  • Managing data ownership, data contracts, and accountability across multiple business functions.
  • Working closely with business, technology, and data teams to onboard datasets and promote best practice.
  • Acting as an ambassador for data governance

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You will bring strong capability in:

  • Data governance, data management, or metadata management.
  • Data catalogue tooling experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and business-facing communication skills.
  • Experience working with SQL and/or Python alongside modern data platforms.
  • Data quality, data ownership, stewardship, and governance frameworks.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive organisational change.
  • Experience presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
