Data Product Manager

Location: Fully Remote (UK-based role)Contract Length: Outside IR35 (initial 6 months, with extension potential)Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of a company-wide data product roadmap. This role is hands-on, combining technical expertise with product leadership to ensure data is a trusted enabler across the business. You will work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to drive data strategy, governance, and adoption.

• Build and own the Data Product Roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

• Oversee the quality, availability, and reliability of data systems, dashboards, and reporting.

• Champion best practices in governance, development, and documentation.

• Partner with data leadership, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to embed data-driven decision-making.

• Guide stakeholders through data strategies and trade-offs, ensuring transparency and alignment.

• Mentor junior team members, supporting the development of future data leaders.

• 5+ years in data engineering or data-heavy roles, including 2+ years in product management.

• Experience working with high-volume, transactional data.

• Strong understanding of data modelling, pipelines, and lifecycle trade-offs (collection, transformation, storage, consumption).

• Hands-on SQL skills for querying, validation, and insight generation.

• Strong stakeholder management and ability to build trust across technical and business teams.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, modern data warehouses, and data reliability concepts.
