Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days per week) Salary: £150,000 + Bonus Reports to: VP of Product Team: 5 Product Managers + indirect reports

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Product - Fintech to take full ownership of a rapidly scaling digital payments platform. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape product strategy, drive market expansion, and lead a talented, distributed product team.

You'll be responsible for building out mobile-first financial services, developing new payments infrastructure, and scaling adoption across global markets. With deep regulatory, geographic, and technical complexity, this role requires both visionary thinking and executional excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Delivery - Own and execute the product roadmap across digital wallet functionality, payments, and integrations.

  • Scaling & Growth - Expand into new markets, grow user adoption, and build commercial partnerships.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership - Partner with engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

  • Team Development - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers across multiple regions and time zones.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential Experience:

  • 7+ years in senior product leadership roles (Director level or above).

  • Strong background in fintech, digital wallets, payments, or banking APIs.

  • Proven experience scaling products across multiple international markets.

  • Knowledge of regulatory, security, and compliance frameworks.

Desirable Experience:

  • Exposure to scaling fintech or high-growth consumer products.

  • Experience with card schemes, merchant tools, or fraud systems.

  • Strong track record in data-led product growth and experimentation.
