You will lead a central Analytics & MI team operating as a shared service across the business, supporting functions including Finance, Marketing, and the C-suite.

The Role

This is a high-impact leadership role at the centre of a business-wide transformation in analytics, decision making, and AI adoption. You will lead a centralised Analytics & MI function operating as a shared service across the organisation, driving actionable insight, improving decision-making, and accelerating the adoption of AI-powered analytics. The role combines strategic leadership (50%) and hands-on delivery (50%), with a strong emphasis on, turning data into commercial insight, embedding AI into analytics workflows and driving change across multiple business functions

Essential Experience

  • Proven leadership of Analytics / MI teams in a complex business environment
  • Strong track record of turning data into actionable business insight
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite
  • Hands-on technical capability (SQL + Python preferred)
  • Experience with modern data stacks (e.g. Snowflake, Power BI or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to improve data structures, reporting, and processes
  • Leadership Style - comfortable being both hands-on and strategic

AI & Innovation Mindset

  • Active engagement with AI tools in analytics (e.g. LLMs, automation tools)
  • Strong understanding of the AI tooling landscape, including pros/cons
  • Experience applying AI commercially (not just theoretical exposure)

Ideal Background

  • Financial Services experience preferred (lending, credit, banking, fintech)
  • Open to other data-rich, commercially driven sectors (e.g. airlines, insurance, tech)
  • Candidates from larger organisations welcome, but must be comfortable in a less structured, fast-moving environment.
