This dynamic UK-based bank is a rising force in commercial banking, delivering banking-as-a-service to dozens of fintech clients including household names like Wize and Paysafe. With rapid growth in 2024, this innovative financial institution is expanding its data capabilities to transform how banking supports fintech and SME lending.

THE ROLE

As the Head of Data & AI, you will lead and scale a talented team responsible for shaping the company's data strategy, governance, and AI/ML initiatives. You'll oversee the development and deployment of cutting-edge machine learning models and ensure data integrity across the organisation. Specifically, you will:

• Drive the implementation of AI/ML solutions using Python and AWS Redshift
• Develop and enforce a robust data governance framework to secure and optimise data usage
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategy with business goals and compliance requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Head of Data & AI will have the following skills and experience:

• 10+ years in data leadership, ideally managing teams of 5-20 professionals in regulated industries
• Proven experience scaling data functions from early stages to maturity
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and data governance best practices
• Experience with AWS (Redshift) and Python
• Strategic mindset with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
