The Role and Responsibilities

As Head of Data Engineering, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of a robust data infrastructure that underpins critical business decisions. Your responsibilities include building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and defining long-term architecture strategies. You'll manage and mentor a team of engineers, setting technical standards and driving best practices across the organisation.

The role demands hands-on expertise with Azure, big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop, and programming languages including Python. You will also oversee database architecture, data modelling, and ETL processes to ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms, using DBT. Collaborating closely with product, analytics, and technology leaders, you'll champion data-driven innovation and deliver solutions that enable efficiency and insight at scale.
