THE COMPANY:

This established yet fast-moving financial services company is doubling down on data. Operating in a dynamic, retail-facing environment, they're scaling their data governance capability and looking for a senior leader to take charge of roadmap, risk, and reporting. You'll join a lean, collaborative data team with executive backing - and the space to make a real impact, quickly.

THE ROLE:

As Head of Data Governance, you'll lead strategy, structure, and execution across the data governance landscape. From high-level roadmap development to hands-on control testing, you'll drive both strategic planning and day-to-day delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and deliver the data governance roadmap across the business
• Lead and develop a cross-functional data governance team
• Present risk exposure and mitigation strategies to the executive team
• Drive and own gap analysis across the organisation's governance framework
• Support and implement control testing across governance processes

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

A successful Head of Data Governance will bring:

• Experience in data governance or enterprise data leadership
• Experience developing and implementing governance strategy and roadmaps
• Proven leadership capability, including team management and development
• Strong communication skills - comfortable engaging at C-suite level
• Experience with control testing and risk-based governance

THE BENEFITS:

You'll receive a salary of up to £80,000 depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to lead a core business function.
