Head of Data & Insights Maternity Cover, Fixed Term Contract (9 months) London, Hybrid (3 days in office)

Salary up to £120,000

A high growth, purpose driven organisation in the green tech space is looking for an experienced Head of Data & Insights to join on a fixed term basis. This is a senior leadership role reporting into the CFO, taking ownership of the data function during a critical period of growth.

You will lead a growing team of 3 across engineering and analytics, owning the data roadmap, embedding best practice, and ensuring high quality insights are delivered to support commercial and operational decision making. The function is newly established, giving you the opportunity to shape processes, standards, and ways of working from the top down.

The role will involve:

• Leading and developing a team of data engineers and analysts
• Owning the data and insights roadmap and embedding request and delivery processes
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights
• Overseeing KPI dashboards, executive reporting, and BAU analysis
• Supporting demand forecasting and machine learning initiatives
• Setting direction for the data platform across AWS, Snowflake, and Power BI
• Championing data quality, governance, and a single source of truth across the business

We are looking for:

• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Proven experience leading analytics or data teams
• Hands on capability with SQL, Python, and BI tools, Power BI preferred
• Experience with cloud based data platforms, AWS and Snowflake beneficial
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high growth environment
