Head of Data Management
Are you a data leader who loves turning complex, unstructured data into commercial impact? This is your chance to shape the data vision for one of the UK's most iconic sports brands.
After the current Head of Data moved on to travel the world, the club is now investing in a permanent data leader to take ownership of its growing data platform and fan data strategy.
What you'll do-
Lead the data strategy - ensure engineers, analysts, and business teams have what they need to deliver value.
-
Evolve a centralised data platform (GCP) integrating data from merchandise, ticketing, digital, and more - across batch and real-time pipelines.
-
Act as the SME for infrastructure design, governance, and compliance frameworks.
-
Oversee reporting and insights across Power BI and Omni (a modern BI tool similar to Looker), defining and standardising KPIs.
-
Drive predictive analytics and machine learning initiatives, such as customer lifetime value and propensity modelling.
-
Partner cross-functionally to support commercial teams - hospitality, retail, fan engagement, digital, and finance.
-
Finance ERP system integration
-
Fan data enhancement via CDP
-
Club-wide reporting rollout
-
Predictive modelling and segmentation
-
F&B and digital journey optimisation
-
GCP - data warehouse and pipelines
-
Power BI / Omni - visualisation and exploration
-
SQL, Python, DBT, Docker
-
Exposure to web & app event tracking and modern data tooling
-
Proven leadership of data teams in modern cloud environments.
-
Skilled in stakeholder management and translating data into commercial action.
-
Experienced across data strategy, architecture, and analytics delivery.
-
Comfortable working hands-on where needed, but equally confident shaping long-term direction.
-
Ideally, you bring a fresh perspective from outside football.
-
Hybrid: 4 days per week onsite (London)
-
Package: £120,000 + Private Health + Free Lunch
-
Small but growing team: currently 3-4, with headcount planned to scale to ~10.
If you're excited by the idea of building a modern, cloud-first data function at a household-name sports brand - this is the role.
