This is an opportunity to lead engineering for a cutting-edge AI and data platform that is redefining how enterprise brands navigate both traditional and LLM-driven search.
THE COMPANY
They are a global technology business building market-leading search intelligence products used by major enterprise brands.
THE ROLE
As a Head of Engineering, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team with clear ownership, setting engineering and AI standards.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Own the execution of the engineering roadmap across all core products and drive architectural decisions for distributed data processing, ML pipelines and modern web systems.
- Ensure systems scale to support large datasets and evolving GenAI workloads.
- Champion engineering excellence including testing, observability, documentation and incident response whilst guiding teams on AI-assisted and agentic coding practices.
- Balance delivery speed, technical debt and long-term stability in fast-moving product areas.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Head of Engineering will have the following skills and experience:
- Confidence operating across ML delivery, GenAI and distributed data.
- Cloud experience - ideally AWS.
- Understanding of Spark, Databricks or similar data technologies
- Knowledge of modern web (TypeScript or React) and .NET
- Strong grounding in CI/CD, containerisation and monitoring.
