Head of Marketing Analytics
Yes - I'd strip out most of the specific measurement terminology and make it feel like a broad senior analytics leadership opportunity.
Head of Marketing Analytics
Location: London (3 days a week)
Salary: £100,000-£150,000 + benefits
We're looking for a Head of Marketing Analytics to lead and develop the marketing analytics function for a growing, data-led consumer business.
This is a senior leadership role with a strong hands-on element. You'll be responsible for developing the analytics strategy, building robust foundations and helping the business make better decisions through data.
You'll work closely with Marketing, Analytics and senior stakeholders to improve how performance is measured, understood and translated into action.
The role
You'll lead a team of analysts and take ownership of the wider marketing analytics agenda, including:
-
Developing the marketing analytics strategy and roadmap
-
Improving how marketing performance is measured
-
Building robust processes, frameworks and ways of working
-
Providing insight to support commercial and marketing decisions
-
Working across customer acquisition, engagement and retention
-
Identifying opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
-
Partnering with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making
-
Developing and coaching the analytics team
This is a hands-on leadership role. We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail, working directly with data and analysis, challenging existing approaches and building solutions themselves when required.
About you
You'll have a strong background in marketing analytics, commercial analytics or a closely related discipline, ideally within a consumer-focused, digital or data-led business.
You'll combine:
-
Strong analytical and technical skills
-
Commercial and strategic thinking
-
Experience leading and developing people
-
Confidence working with senior stakeholders
-
The ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations
-
A practical, delivery-focused approach
-
The ability to balance longer-term strategy with immediate business priorities
We're particularly interested in people who have built or developed analytics capabilities, rather than simply operated within an established function.
The opportunity
This is a chance to join at an important stage of the organisation's growth and shape the future of Marketing Analytics.
There is a strong data foundation and significant opportunity to build on what already exists, introduce greater structure and establish a high-performing analytics function that has a real influence on the wider business.
If you're a technically credible analytics leader who enjoys building, delivering and influencing, this could be an excellent opportunity.
