Lead Analyst - Director of Econometrics
London | Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH) Up to £80,000 + Benefits
A global marketing and media analytics business is looking for a Lead Analyst - Director of Econometrics to play a key role in building and growing a newly established UK-based data science function. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who combines deep technical MMM expertise with strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
The RoleYou'll lead the delivery of Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) projects for a range of clients, while helping shape the direction and capabilities of a growing data science team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building and implementing MMM solutions from scratch
- Using open-source MMM frameworks such as Google Meridian, Robyn and PyMC
- Leading end-to-end client delivery, from model development through to recommendations and business impact
- Ensuring models are robust, reliable and commercially relevant
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting insights and strategic recommendations
- Balancing hands-on modelling work with project leadership and stakeholder engagement
- Mentoring and managing junior team members
- Contributing to the growth and development of the wider data science function
- 8-10 years' experience within Data Science, Marketing Science or Analytics
- Strong Python expertise
- Proven experience building MMM models from scratch
- Deep understanding of statistical modelling techniques and model evaluation
- Previous experience within an agency, consultancy or client-facing analytics environment
- Strong stakeholder management and client presentation skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Passionate about building processes, capabilities and teams from the ground up
