Lead Analytics Consultant
Lead Analytics Consultant
Location: UK (hybrid - UK-remote with up to 20% client-site travel) Salary: £80,000-£100,000 (DOE)
The Company
We're partnering with a high-growth data consultancy that helps organisations realise measurable value from data and AI. They design modern data platforms, define pragmatic data & AI strategies, and deliver analytics solutions that are adopted by business users-not just "delivered". With an expanding UK footprint, they're building a senior consulting layer to lead flagship engagements and shape the practice.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing role at the intersection of data strategy, AI opportunity, and delivery execution. You'll lead end-to-end strategy engagements, translate business needs into actionable roadmaps, guide multi-disciplinary delivery teams, and mentor consultants-ensuring solutions land, scale, and drive impact.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end data & AI strategy engagements: scope, discovery, assessment, roadmap, operating model, adoption.
Run senior stakeholder workshops: align priorities, define value metrics, and set success criteria across business and tech.
Translate strategy into delivery: shape target architecture and backlog (platforms, pipelines, governance, analytics/ML).
Course-correct initiatives: identify low-value work, re-prioritise to higher-impact opportunities, and prove value quickly.
Oversee delivery quality: steer squads across data engineering, analytics, and data science; remove blockers; ensure best practice.
Drive adoption & change: define measurement, enablement, and operating processes so solutions are used and maintained.
Mentor & elevate the team: coach consultants on consulting craft, stakeholder management, and technical breadth.
Grow accounts through outcomes: build trusted relationships and spot expansion opportunities via delivered value.
Skills & Experience
Consulting leadership: proven experience leading data/analytics strategy programmes (with exposure to AI/ML preferred).
Business & technical bilingual: credible with execs and architects alike; able to frame trade-offs and influence decisions.
Broad technical grasp: modern data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), ingestion/ELT, modelling, governance (policies, lineage, MDM), BI, and ML use cases.
Hands-on when needed: comfortable diving into discovery, prototyping value cases, and structuring delivery backlogs.
Value & adoption mindset: measurable outcomes, TCO awareness, and practical operating models (people, process, tech).
Strong facilitation & comms: runs C-level workshops, produces clear roadmaps, and tells compelling data-led stories.
Coaching orientation: develops juniors; sets standards for consulting quality and delivery excellence.
Benefits
£80k-£100k base depending on experience
Hybrid UK working with <=20% travel (primarily London)
Clear progression to Practice Lead as the team scales
High-impact projects across industries; autonomy to shape the practice
Collaborative, low-ego culture focused on value and adoption
