Lead BI Analyst

Senior Data Analyst

Up to £90,000
Fully Remote (UK)

I'm hiring a Senior Data Analyst for a fast-growing, product-led betting business where analytics sits at the heart of decision-making.

This is a broad, commercially focused analytics role for someone who can combine strong SQL, stakeholder engagement, and BI expertise to help shape product, growth, customer, and commercial decisions. You'll be joining a business with a highly mature analytics environment, a modern data stack, and a genuine appetite for data-driven decision making.

The role

You'll sit within the Analytics team, reporting into the Analytics Manager, and act as a senior individual contributor supporting stakeholders across:

  • Product
  • Growth
  • Commercial
  • Trading
  • Sportsbook
  • Casino

This role isn't about being given perfectly defined briefs.

They're looking for someone who can take vague business questions, understand what stakeholders are really trying to solve, and translate those challenges into structured analytical approaches and meaningful recommendations.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and improve BI reporting and self-serve analytics capabilities using Omni.
  • Translate stakeholder requests into clear analytical frameworks and delivery plans.
  • Support strategic projects including customer intelligence, segmentation, lifecycle engagement, and experimentation.
  • Create dashboards, tools, and analysis that help stakeholders answer questions independently.
  • Partner closely with Product, Growth, Commercial, Trading, Casino and Sportsbook teams.
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and behavioural trends within customer and commercial data.
  • Support experimentation and A/B testing initiatives.
  • Help raise BI standards and improve analytical maturity across the organisation.

The team

You'll join a growing analytics function and work alongside a team of Senior Data Analysts, an Analytics Manager, a BI Analyst and Analytics Engineering support.

The wider team is focused on:

  • Customer intelligence
  • Product analytics
  • Experimentation
  • Self-serve analytics
  • Commercial performance
  • Growth analytics

This role is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership

What they're looking for Must-haves

  • 5+ years' experience in data analytics.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong BI experience (ideally Looker, Omni, or similar semantic-layer tools).
  • Experience building dashboards and self-serve analytics solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently structure and deliver analytical work.
  • Experience influencing business decisions through insight and recommendations.

Strongly preferred

  • Betting, gaming, gambling, fintech, travel, marketplace, or other high-frequency consumer environments.
  • Experimentation and A/B testing experience.
  • Customer, product, or growth analytics experience.

Nice to have

  • dbt exposure
  • Python experience
  • Conversational or natural-language analytics exposure

What success looks like

Within the first 6-12 months you'll:

  • Build trusted relationships across Product, Growth and Commercial teams.
  • Improve reporting quality and consistency.
  • Deliver self-serve tools that reduce reactive requests.
  • Make a meaningful contribution to customer intelligence initiatives.
  • Deliver analysis that influences real commercial decisions.

Why this role?

  • Fully remote working
  • Modern analytics stack
  • Strong product and growth culture
  • Significant ownership and autonomy
  • Opportunity to shape the future of BI and self-serve analytics
  • Exposure to experimentation, customer intelligence, and new market expansion
  • High-growth environment where data genuinely influences decision-making

Package

  • Up to £90,000 salary
  • Private health insurance
  • Income protection
  • Enhanced holiday allowance
  • Fully supported home office setup
  • Retail discounts and perks
  • Quarterly socials
  • Strong progression opportunities into strategic analytics roles
