Lead Full Stack Engineer

Located: Leicester, Leicestershire - Hybrid (1 day/week onsite)Salary: Up to £65,000 + 10% bonus + 4% pension

This large retail trader is undergoing a major digital transformation journey and looking to bring on a Lead Full Stack Developer.

Tech Stack:

• Core: Node.js, React
• Cloud: AWS
• Database: MongoDB, PHP
• Tools: GitLab, Power BI, modern CI/CD pipelines

Your Role:

As the Lead Full Stack Engineer, you'll be:

• Mixture of management (30%) and hands-on coding (70%)
• Leading a small, tight-knit team (4 -5 people)
• Creating scalable, secure, and performant solutions for internal and external platforms

We're open to strong senior engineers ready for the step up - or experienced leads looking for a new challenge.

Ideal Profile:

• Solid experience in full stack development (5+ years ideally)
• Strong leadership skills - formally or informally leading teams
• Deep knowledge of PHP, Node, React, AWS, and MongoDB

Interview Process:

1. 30-min introduction (tech & non-tech questions)
2. Take-home tech test
3. Final in-person interview in Leicester (meet the team, deeper technical discussion)
