Power BI Developer - SC Cleared

Location: London- 3 days onsite Contract: Likely 2-3 months Rate: £350-£400 per day Start: ASAP - immediate start

This role supports a government contract reporting programme for a contract management system. The focus is on building and completing a suite of complex Power BI reports used to manage high-value contractual data.

The reporting team is currently under capacity so this is a hands-on delivery role with a strong emphasis on accuracy, structure, and stakeholder communication.

Due to the nature of the sensitive data, SC clearance is highly desirable.

• Deliver a backlog of complex Power BI reports aligned to an agreed reporting framework

• Build and refine multi-page reports, including summary views and detailed, Excel-style data pages

• Work primarily in Power BI, pulling data from CSV files and Azure Blob Storage

• Apply complex business rules, exemptions, and contractual logic within reports

• Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage delivery expectations

• Active SC Clearance highly desirable

• Strong, hands-on Power BI experience (advanced report development and querying)

• Solid DAX and SQL capability

• Experience working with complex or contractual datasets

• Confident querying and data validation skills

• Strong problem-solving ability - able to break down complex requirements

• Clear communicator, comfortable flagging issues and planning around deadlines

• Collaborative approach when working with clients and internal teams

• Background in a mix of industries including government, public sector, or consulting environments preferred

Nice to have:

• Experience optimising reports in constrained capacity environments (embedded reports, performance considerations)
