ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Power BI Engineer will:

* Design and deliver Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets that support business decision making. * Translate stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable visual analytics. * Build and maintain semantic models, including measures, KPIs, hierarchies, and optimised DAX. * Work with data engineering teams to source, transform, and model data from multiple systems. * Use Power Query to shape and prepare data for reporting. * Implement governance standards including row-level security, workspace management, and performance optimisation. * Uphold data quality and best-practice modelling across the Power BI environment. * Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders, presenting insights in a clear and accessible way.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

* Strong commercial experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets. * Confident writing DAX and building performant semantic models. * Strong SQL capability and the ability to work with complex datasets. * Experienced connecting Power BI to a range of data sources including SQL databases, Azure environments, Excel, and APIs. * Skilled in Power Query for data transformation. * Able to work independently, prioritise effectively, and communicate insights to non-technical audiences. * Experience in the retail sector is beneficial. * Awareness of the wider Microsoft data ecosystem, including Microsoft Fabric, is a plus.
