Principal AI Engineer London, Hybrid (2 to 3 days per week on site)Salary between £115,000 - £140,000 depending on level

This is an opportunity to take on a senior technical leadership position within a growing consultancy delivering complex, organisation wide AI solutions for major enterprise clients. You will guide high impact programmes, shape strategic technical decisions, and act as a trusted partner across large scale data and AI initiatives.

The Role

Lead engagements from a technical perspective, setting engineering direction and guiding delivery.Work hands on where needed across AI, data and software components to ensure production ready outcomes.Partner closely with senior stakeholders to shape strategy and translate organisational objectives into technical plans.Support and guide multidisciplinary squads, ensuring strong engineering practices and consistent delivery quality.Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, capability building and wider engineering standards.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience delivering AI or machine learning systems in production within complex environments.
• Expertise in Python and modern engineering approaches.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• Experience operating within consultancy or large enterprise settings.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to guide teams and shape decisions.
