QA Automation Engineer London - 2 days in the office Up to £60,000 plus benefits

You will help shape a modern test automation function, working with advanced tooling, AI-assisted approaches, and a microservices architecture to improve reliability, performance, and delivery speed.

The Role * Develop and enhance automated test suites to reduce manual testing. * Contribute to the delivery of a modern financial technology product in a scale-up setting. * Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA peers to ensure clarity, consistency, and testability of requirements. * Use AI tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, and synthetic data generation. * Plan, design, and execute testing across smoke, regression, functional, and performance areas. * Create and maintain test documentation. * Work within Agile squads, contributing to planning, estimation, and continuous improvement. * Support the adoption and expansion of test automation across the wider QA community.
Your Skills and Experience You bring * Strong commercial experience in QA automation using Java or Kotlin. * Hands-on use of AI tools to enhance productivity. * A deep understanding of OOP principles. * Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web architecture. * Strong API testing capability using tools such as RestAssured, Feign, Swagger, or Postman. * Experience writing UI tests with Selenium, Selenide, or Playwright. * Familiarity with TestNG, JUnit, and SQL for data validation. * Experience with monitoring and debugging tools such as Sentry or Elasticsearch. * Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools like JMeter or Gatling. * Experience using test management systems (for example TestRail) and project tools such as Jira and Confluence. * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions. * Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced environment, ideally with microservices.
