The Role and Responsibility

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and products within a modern Databricks Lakehouse environment using Delta Lake, Spark, Python (PySpark) and SQL.
  • Manage and optimise the cloud-based lakehouse, leveraging Unity Catalogue, Databricks Workflows and best practices for performance, quality, lineage and compliance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate technical concepts clearly and support delivery through Agile methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promote a positive and inclusive team culture and embed strong governance, access control and secure handling of PII.
  • Suited to someone with strong Databricks engineering expertise paired with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset.
